A Good Day At Bunnings Where We Raised in excess of $2,000
In fact it was a record 'double grand day' of sausage sizzling with over $2 grand ($2,046.10 to be precise) raised by our happy band of barbecuers on Saturday 21 December. Around 800 snags were dispensed plus gallons of softdrink.
Big Thanks to Glenferrie Gourmet Meats. (opposite Coles / Glenferrie Rd) for supplying the sausages at zero cost, Rob Davies for 45 loaves of free bread and Sparkie (Steve) Clarkie who contributed a few dozen cans of softdrink. Plus, Don Fotheringham who helped out with the ice. Their generosity saved over $250 costs for which we are most grateful.
And our 'staffers' on the day- Don Fotheringham, Chris Howell, Anne Hawthorne, John DeCarro, Gary Goldsmith, Pres. Graeme Hope, Anne Murphy and Don Jago- did a great job. Thanks also to John Steven and Peter Iannazo for their offer of assistance on the day- but not required. And as always, Fabienne for her pre BBQ organisation.
