Rory Hughes is a volunteer team member for the District 9800 Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), a week-long immersive leadership program for 18 to 25 year olds.

 He has been involved in Rotary-sponsored programs for nearly a decade, including Camberwell Rotary's award winning Seeds of Peace Anzac Centenary initiative.

After being sponsored by the Camberwell Rotary Club to attend RYLA in 2018, he has since helped to deliver both in-person and online programs, as well as been a member of the RYLA committee.

It's close to the corner of Glenferrie Road and High Street in Malvern.

As the 2023 Rotary International Convention is being held in Melbourne, the Rotary Clubs of Camberwell, Glenferrie and Hawthorn will jointly host a "Welcome Dinner" for overseas visitors attending RICON Melbourne on Monday 29 May. The venue is the superb Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

This exciting event will replace the normal Club Dinner Meeting on Wednesday 31 May.

It's all hands on deck for this phase of the Camberwell Art Show. On Monday all the equipment required to stage the Show is transported from Kent's Storage to the ATC. On Tuesday ALL paintings have to be received physically and digitally into the Show. On Wednesday ALL paintings have to be hung on the panels. Thursday is for finalsing the position of artwork on the panels, and for judging. Friday is for final adjustments to the panels, cleaning up, and setting up for the Gala Opening.

The 2023 Camberwell Art Show Bump In/Set Up is in full swing, and hence we will have our traditional Weekly Meeting at Swinburne, where there will be a minimum of formalities and plenty of work to do - we need to have the hanging of paintings well advanced by the end of this evening's work.

The Gala Opening of the Camberwell Art Show is an event not to missed - fabulous food, good wines, and of course the first opportunity to purchase your favourite piece of art.
