32 members of Rotary Camberwell descended on Camberwell High School on 11 to 13 September 2024, to conduct mock job interviews for year 9 students. The school's compulsory program ‘Connections for Life’ culminates with the simulated job interviews in the final term of the year.
Students choose from a selection of made-up positions, create a resume and supporting cover letter as part of their application for their chosen role. The mock job interview is a valuable student experience as they are assessed on their presentation, their written submission and their conduct under a simulated interview scenario. By all accounts the students found their mock job interview a positive experience. Interviewers found the students well prepared and embraced the exercise enthusiastically.
