Our Club Service Committee is doing a marvellous job in planning and organising our monthly fellowship-partners nights. What a grand and enjoyable dinner evening unfolded at Chef Wong on Camberwell Road. Our party of twenty-seven were treated to an exquisite smorgasbord of hot and cold dishes with excellent service and hospitality. Chef Wong is renowned for Melbourne’s best Yum Cha dumplings. He was trained in Hong Kong and this Master Dumpling Chef has 45 years of experience having worked in several world class Chinese restaurants. His talents and skills came shining through in the beautiful presentations and unique flavours of his dishes. Our members loved it so much and expressed the view if we could come here again and OMG some members even suggested to move our regular weekly meetings here.
We had so much fun, so much to eat and drink. Some of us took the liberty of the takeaway boxes to enjoy the treats the following day.
Looking forward to the next monthly fellowship-partners dinner evening as our Club Service committee explores the next exciting venue in our immediate precinct. This supports this year’s vision to build a rapport with the local businesses and expand our visibility to local community on a social level.
Some Important upcoming Dates:
Business Awards information session – 5 August. Andy Round from Rowville Club will make a short presentation to our project team and interested members after our dinner meeting on Wednesday.
Rock and Roll Dance – Beginners evening with dinner – was planned for Mon, 3 Aug 2026 at The Tower. It was unfortunately cancelled. The room we required was unavailable and the venue would be overwhelmed with a much larger event booked on the same night. A new date will be explored and readvertised because of this unexpected change and impact to our scheduled event.
8 & 9 September: Mock Job Interviews at Camberwell High School.
