Wednesday 12th February – FORaMEAL Packing event at Conochie Hall managed by Canterbury Rotary Club. We would like to get around fifty people participating so would love to see more than our usual members and please bring your friends.
Wednesday 19th February – Speaker Graham Ross will be discussing the importance of the Gardiners Creek Catchment.
Wednesday 26th February – Offsite Fellowship at Venue – Popular Kitchen (offers a delicious range of Asian dishes)

As its name suggests, this is a program whereby Council Playgrounds that are being replaced are dismantled and shipped overseas
for re-assembly by Rotary Clubs in countries such as Nepal and Sri Lanka for re-use in schools and playgrounds grounds.
The program is managed by the RC Glenferrie and RC Camberwell is one of 4 Rotary Clubs participating in this activity.
We are being asked to provide 1 volunteer to assist in loading some already dismantled playground equipment on to a trailer in East Malvern and delivering it to Kilsyth.

Good afternoon, our challenge next Wednesday evening is yet again to assemble as many emergency food pouches as possible (last year we assembled 14,000 packs!) to assist those in need around the world. To do this takes about 50 volunteers - made up of club and family members and friends.
The GOOD NEWS is that apart from 'doing good', next Wednesday night will be a lot of fun :).
There will not be a paid Basscare meal .. instead everyone is asked to please bring a plate of food that will be shared with all.
It would be great if some members could arrive at 5pm to help us unload the delivery truck and set up the tables.
Shortly Alan will send out the usual Club Runner registration email .. PLEASE be ready to reply with your name and hopefully friends and family names.
Camp Getaway provides a quality recreational camp experience for people of all abilities. The target groups assisted at Camp Getaway are people with disabilities and special needs. Thousands of voluntary hours have gone into redeveloping the site, which now includes self-contained units with full disabled facilities, modern dormitories and many other improvements.
The Rotary Club of Camberwell has booked the dates above and we will again be assisted by our former member and now retired painter – Andy Spry. This working bee at Camp Getaway is a weekend away and provides a great opportunity for club fellowship. As there is always refurbishment and maintenance activities to be done this is a great hands-on Community project for our Club.

Rotary SAFE Families has gone global! We are so excited to be invited to share our Rotary SAFE Families initiative with the world.
We are becoming an advocate for not only prevention of family violence and abuse in Australia, but to global peace and mental health literacy.
We have made this decision in the hope we can help build a culture of peace (family) whilst preventing family abuse and violence to anyone, anywhere, anytime!

You can help promote peace in the world by encouraging peace and development leaders in your community to apply for the Rotary Peace Fellowship.
Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fully funded fellowships for peacebuilders from diverse backgrounds to study at one of our peace centers located at leading universities around the world. This year, we’ll select 50 peace fellows to study in our master’s degree programs at six partner universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the United States and 80 fellows to participate in our professional development certificate programs at Makerere University in Uganda and Bahçeşehir University in Türkiye.
Rotary Peace Fellows use their training to amplify their work at the local, regional, or global level. Together, we can advance peace by encouraging our local peacebuilders to learn about Rotary and apply for this unique fellowship.
Rotary and Rotaract members can help find candidates within their networks and community organizations. It's easy to use our referral form so potential candidates can receive more information about applying.
