Australasian Housing Institute Awards
At this month's Australasian Housing Institute VIC/TAS Brighter Future Awards, Servants was recognised with two awards:
🏆 Leading Innovation – Old Walls, New Hope, for our adaptive reuse of under-utilised buildings like ex-nursing homes and heritage mansions.
🏆 Leading Community Engagement Practice – recognising the impact of For The Love of Good, our social enterprise producing honey and sparkling apple juice.
It was a colourful, hope-filled night celebrating the people and ideas shaping social, affordable, and community housing. Congratulations to all nominees and winners!
Love in the Walls at Cinema Nova
On August 6th, our documentary Love in the Walls premiered at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival.
The film received two awards; Best Melbourne Film and Best Emerging Director (Samuel Kostevc), reflecting the care with which our residents’ stories were told.

A Strategic Start to the Financial Year
On July 1st, staff shared how they’ll bring our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan to life. It was encouraging to see the skills, passion, and organisation of each person shaping our future together.
For The Love of Good at Hawthorn Makers Market
Our For The Love of Good stall at the Hawthorn Makers Market was buzzing with colour and conversation. We loved sharing our honey and sparkling apple juice with the local community, and we're so thankful for their support!
Walk Towards Home is back in October!
