When you serve to change lives, your actions today can help extend the lives of others.

ROTRAY AUSTRALIA WORLD COMMUNITY SERVICE (RAWCS) has established a National Flood Appeal, if anyone is interested in supporting this worthy cause please refer front page of the RAWCS web site for full details    https://rawcs.org.au/

Next week we have our longest serving member Michael Blood delivering his member behind the badge presentation, a meeting not to be missed.

Thanks to Jim O’Hara with the good news past member Karen Nolan has been elected President elect for her Club @ Mt Barker South Australia for the upcoming new Rotary year. Congratulations Karen
By now you would have received an email from ART Show Chairman Murray, letting everyone know about the sponsorship opportunities, A big team effort is required to make sure this year’s show is successful, so please give Murray’s email some consideration, maybe even chat with your kids and see if their employers are interested in supporting the club, we really need to spread our contacts far and wide and every little bit counts
As footy season is upon us, I’m sure many in the club will be wishing Carlton a successful year
Have a good week in Rotary

Camberwell Art Show - Update

The Art Show Committee is working hard to make the 2022 Show a great success. Negotiations are progressing well with Swinburne. The Art Galleria online platform is continuing to be developed, all Operations, Marketing and Events planning is well advanced. It's all systems GO!

As a reminder, please ensure the following date are in your diaries. As in previous years, setting up and running the Camberwell Art Show is a "Whole of Club" project which requires literally 1000s of hours of volunteering, and it is expected that every Club Member will contribute their effort in some way toward a successful show.

  • Bump In: Monday 20 June
  • Paintings Receive: Tuesday 21 June
  • Layout and Hanging: Wednesday 22 - Thursday 23 June (note our Wednesday Night Meeting will be held at Swinburne)
  • Finalise Hanging & Clean-up: Friday 24 June
  • Gala Opening: Friday 24 June
  • Show Open to Public: Saturday 25 June - Sunday 3 July
  • Paintings Hand-back: Sunday 3 July - Monday 4 July
  • Bump Out: Tuesday 5 July
The days marked in red are the days that require the most volunteers.

So I would like all members to assist with:

  1. Sponsorship: try and find Sponsorship opportunities within your social, business and local circles - I have recently sent the necessary Sponsorship Packages by email. Please put them to good use.

  2. Volunteering: make yourself available, and ask your partners and friends to assist, by volunteering to help, especially on those "high demand" days in red. A "non-availability" form will be circulated soon, and from that, a detailed Volunteer Signup List will be developed.
Remember, a financially successful show is needed to provide much-needed funds to our Service Committees - we have had two years of restricted fund-raising, resulting in cancelled or cut-back community support projects, both locally and internationally.

I am sure everyone is looking forward to a successful 2022 Camberwell Art Show so we can "do good in the world" at a level similar to pre-pandemic years.  I ask you for your on-going support.

The Team Vista container finally arrived in Moshi.only 3 months past its due arrival date. The staff thought all their Christmas' had come at once. Just makes me realise more and more how much we take for granted!
