Last week I was in Thredbo supporting our son Paul who entered the UTMB Kosciuszko 50km Trail Run through the NSW Alps.
The race took place on Thursday, starting in Perisher at 7am. The 50km route followed hiking trails across the high plains from Perisher, down into the Thredbo River valley, all the way up the valley to Dead Horse Gap, then a climb up along the main range past the Eagles Nest top chair lift station, then all the way down again to finish in the Thredbo village.

Paul ran and hiked to finish in 9 hours and 34 minutes, a super-human effort. I was able to meet him at 3 checkpoints along the way and support him with snacks, gels, hydralytes etc.
We are so proud of our son. What an achievement.
