Rotary friends and friends of Rotary, thank you to everyone who attended our meeting, it was a truly inspirational presentation about the future of Rotary by Jesse Harman.

We welcomed back our new secretary Vijay Susarla from leave of absence and it was great to also see Adrian Campbell attend and receive his Paul Harris recognition from PP Murray Anderson.

Basscare are restricting our attendance @ Wednesday meetings due to Covid-19, so please be aware the procedure moving forward for members to attend our weekly meeting is …. if you want to attend and have a meal, you must register and pay online, if you are having issues registering please call Murray Anderson  0457 000 407 and he will be able to assist.
The Art show has commenced on the 10th July, it’s a club effort and everyone in the club can make a contribution by distributing the DL flyers & A4 leaflets to your network, cafes, work places etc, if you need more advertising material or an electronic copy please reach out to Andrew Hunter.

We bid bon voyage to Chris Howell who has been able to book a flight in the coming weeks to Texas to see Bill, Chris will be on extend leave.

It was great to see so many club members brave the elements and visit the Hawthorn Markers Market last Sunday. Teresa’s update: It was a smaller market than we would have liked as we were limited to only 10 indoor stalls. There were 23 outdoors but we had a few last-minute withdrawals due to illness. We counted 372 visitors who passed our desk inside the entrance - a reasonable number & donations collected are estimated at around $380. This includes the 23 jars of honey kindly and generously provided by Lyndon.

Next week with have Tim Forcey as our guest speaker and he will be talking about improving winter home comfort and energy efficiency, a meeting not to be missed! So why not bring a guest along??

That’s it from me for this week, have a good week in Rotary
