This week Melbourne “raised the bat”… a double century of days spent in lockdown since the end of March last year, hopefully everyone is looking out for their loved ones and staying safe. As the lockdown extension continues, we will be on Zoom next week
It was great to have another strong attendance of 45 at our Zoom club forum meeting, the robust discussion where everyone has a chance to contribute is the historic fabric and Rotary way that continues to make our club a strong vibrant organisation on the journey of continuous improvement through member engagement
The club board of management had the monthly meeting, and I am pleased to let members know
A community services committee payment request for $2000 was approved towards Melbourne’s Asylum seekers Resource Centre for the purchase of food supplies to assist the strong demand for food hampers, This $$$ contribution is extending the support already being provided by club members the last few months which has been co-ordinated by Steve Clarke & Richard O’Brien
